چکیده
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a heterogeneous syndrome that includes various types of trauma. About 10–15 % patients have severe TBI, accompanied by high rates disability and mortality. Currently, the methods intensive care from standpoint evidence-based medicine are widely used for their treatment. Along with care, comprehensive cytoprotective program using Neurocitin®, which contains citicoline electrolytes, great importance. Neurocitin® has combined effect aimed at correcting metabolic volemic disorders, namely, maintaining adequate cerebral perfusion, timely elimination water-electrolyte energy supply tissues protection neurovascular unit damage. Lactate in composition provides detoxification effect, preserves increases neurons, improves metabolism, blood flow neuronal activity. For treatment neurometabolic drug ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate (Lodixem®) also used. Lodixem® normalizes flow, an earlier resolution post-traumatic encephalopathy restoration consciousness, leads to decrease severity endogenous intoxication syndrome, pathological vicious circles arise against background hypoxia, ischemia deficiency organs tissues.

The Relationship Between Executive Function and Severe Traumatic Brain Injury
Background: Cognitive impairment is a common complication of Severe Traumatic Brain Injury (STBI). One of cognitive problems following STBI is impaired executive functions which involve high-level cognitive processes and their dysfunction can lead to reduced quality of life. Objective: This study aims to investigate the cognitive impairment in men with STBI compared to healthy men. Materials...

In the past several years, there has been a revolution in cognitive neuroscience that may soon transform the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of persons with TBI. For instance, diagnostic functional positron emission tomography has demonstrated a heterogeneity of brain states that can lead to impaired consciousness such as coma and the persistent vegetative state.2-3 Kennedy and Bakay4 ...
متن کاملTraumatic Brain Injury (TBI): Overview of Diagnosis and Treatment
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a common, preventable, and disabling health condition with heterogeneous aetiology, type, severity, and outcomes. Ongoing challenges in TBI care are reflected by rapidly growing literature in the prevention, assessment and treatment of TBI, especially in sports concussion and blast-related TBI. Recent advances include TBI modelling, to predict outcomes of TBI and...
